I'd really rather not, because your...

Beauty School - "Disco Sux" [Solead Remix] (Erase Records)

I bloody do love this. The original is a great punky breaks track which is definitely worth checking out, and is going to be getting all the support it deserves. This is a typical 4 to the floor electro remix, which I'm sure is also a hit in my book.

The vocoder vocal grabs me immediately, and then that Bassline comes in. But what really makes me love this track is the vocals. I think that wins the dancefloor over.

The King Is Dead, Long Live The King!

But, if the conspiracy theories are true, and he is still alive...

My Digital Enemy - "Where The F**k is Elvis?" [Original] (My Digital Enemy Records)

I wasn't too keen on this Brighton based trio's first release, Runaway (Feel The Love), which was all rather too happy for my liking, but their second release is a lot dirtier. The "Sordid You" EP contains 3 tracks, "Sordid You", "Electro Joker", and this one. The first two are also good in their own electro style, but this final track is a bit different to the first two.

It's a stomping, hard as fuck tech house track spattered with some dubby vocal of someone talking about their love for Elvis. But don't let that put you off! In the right time and place, this track needs to be dropped. :)

We are going to play a typical number...

...with a typical amount of...

James Harcourt - "Loud & Low" [Original] (Twisted Frequency)

I can't get enough of this track! The stuttered vocals from 3:10 onwards is the cherry on top of a great track. There's a Dub version of the track, but unlike some tracks the vocal is used quite sparsely so I don't really feel offended enough not to stick to the original. :)

Jacques Bauer - "Abandon Ship!" [Original] (Blow Media)

Anywaaaay. This is a bloody great tune, and a more recent one at that. Enjoy the nearly 2 minute long buildup.......and then....

nrgh, woo woo woo weh, nrgh, woo woo woo weh, NRGH, wooo woo woo weh!!

that's the only reason I like it! Well, the bass and the beats help, but the bit above is what makes the track stand out for me.

So I'm not saying that I'll always know the latest hot tune...

...but when I find something I like, I'll post about it here.

Right now, I'm liking the tech house and electro genre, so this blog will be mostly - if not totally exclusively - be about tech house or electro tunes.

So, with that said, I'll post tonight's tune.

Duke Box Hero - "In A Spin" [Original Mix] (Mena Music)

This one is from last year, but I only found about it tonight, so by my own rules I'm allowed to post it.

A Leo Sayer sampled hook and a warped bassline combine to make for one funky house tune. I certainly feel like dancing the night away. ;)
